How To Make Badam Peda At Home: Almond Peda is a traditional sweet, which is made on special occasions or festivals. This sweet is made from home-made ingredients like almonds, milk, ghee and sugar which are also very beneficial for health. This sweet is liked not only by children but also by adults. It is very easy to make it at home and does not take much time to make it. If you want to serve something special to your family and friends during this festive season, then Almond Peda can be a great option. You can also make this sweet on the occasion of Rakshabandhan and feed it to your brother. So let’s know how to make it.
Method of making Almond Peda-
Material:
Almonds: 1 cup (soaked and peeled)
Milk: 1/4 cup
Ghee: 2 tbsp
Sugar: 1/2 cup (or according to taste)
Cardamom powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Saffron: a pinch (optional)
Pistachios: for decoration
Method:
Prepare the almond paste: First of all, make a smooth paste by mixing the almonds soaked overnight with milk. Do not make this paste too thin.
Cook the mixture: Now heat ghee in a pan and add almond paste to it. Cook it on medium flame while stirring continuously until its color becomes light golden and ghee starts separating.

Add the sugar: Now add sugar to it and mix well. After the sugar melts, add cardamom powder and saffron. Cook it till the mixture thickens and starts separating from the sides of the pan.
Shape the pedas: Now remove this mixture from the flame and let it cool down a bit. Apply a little ghee on your palm and give this mixture the shape of small pedas. Place one pistachio piece on each peda and press it lightly.
Cool and serve: Now you can cool these pedas by placing them in the fridge. When the pedas cool down completely, serve them.

– If you want to make it even more healthy then you can also add cashews to it.
